1. The M20 south-bound finishes just outside Folkestone as you are about to drive through a short tunnel.
2. When you come out of the tunnel you will be on the A20; Keep going.
3. This road will take you all the way to Dover.
4. When you get to the first roundabout turn left. (Signed ‘Aycliff & Western Heights’).
5. After you’ve gone left at the roundabout you will need to turn right immediately, on a bend, and this will take you up South Military Road.
6. Go all the way up here (there are some V. tight bends), and when you get to the peak of the hill turn right into the car park.
7. St. Martin’s Battery is on the left of the car park.
8. Start exploring !
