Hospital Sally Port
You are still standing on the drawbridge rest but you have turned round. In front of you is the entrance into the tunnel which is partially bricked up. You see the metal bracket at the bottom of the doorway going across its width; this is where the small drawbridge was once anchored and pivotted. You'll also note that the entrance is recessed to allow the drawbridge to shut flush with the wall. At the top corners of the recess are holes fitted with pulleys which carried the chains used to close the drawbridge. Click on the picture to go through the hole and stand in the tunnel.
